| TDF for bridging gap between rural and urban area | | | Early Times Report Jammu Mar 6- Tehsil Thathri Development Front (TDF) has hailed the Chief Minister’s assertion in the assembly that the much talked about discrimination does not actually exist between Jammu and Kashmir regions but between rural and urban areas. President of the Front Kuldeep Kumar Rao in a handout gave a detailed account of the discrimination meted out to Thathri tehsil and regretted that that not a single representatives of the area ever raised a slight voice in the state assembly about the problems and the demands of the people of the area. He said the previous coalition had sanctioned colleges at Chhatroo and Gandoh which are fed by only one and three higher secondary schools respectively. In contrast, there are 13 higher secondary schools in Tehsil Thatri but not even a single college was granted to this Tehsil. There are nearly 60,000 voters in the Tehsil Thatri yet it has only one NES block where in other cases there are two or even more blocks, he said and added that unless the rules areas are developed there would be no progress.
