| Mahatma’s belongings | | Failure cannot be converted into victory: Arora | | Early Times Report
Jammu, MAR 6- BJP State Spokesperson Ramesh Arora has said that recent purchase of personal belonging of Mahatma Gandhi (Father of the Nation) by Dr. Vijay Mallya is appreciable but at the same time the claim made by Ambica Soni Union Minister for Tourism and Culture is condemnable and shameful. In a statement he said that the Congress senior leader who claimed that it is "Victory of India" and the Congress led government was able to procure item is not acceptable to the people. Ramesh Arora said that government was trying to stop auction but failed and purchase was made by Vijay Mallya. Ambica Soni in a press conference claimed that if they would have participated in purchase it could have raised the auction amount; he said adding that it has exposed all claims and attachment of Congress towards Mahatma Gandhi and items belonging to Gandhi. Ramesh Arora said amount is not consideration it is the heritage, which is to be protected. In fact, the approach of government was not serious and wanted to take credit when Mallya announced that he wants to donate this to government. Congress have never followed ideology of Mahatma Gandhi he was not in favour of Congress to form government but Congress has not accepted his advice, the BJP leader remarked. He said Congress have sold Mahatma to gain power and even after killing of Mahatma Gandhi, RSS was blamed to gain political mileage, although they were aware that RSS is in no way linked with killing. ‘Congress should not forget that people cannot be misguided over the issue’, he said.
