REASI, Apr 24: In order to take a stock of final preparations for General Elections to Lok Sabha -2024, Phase II in District Reasi, a meeting cum briefing session was convened with ZOs & SOs and SSP Reasi and all the supervisory officers engaged for the conduct of GELS-2024
Furthermore, the Observers also held a meeting along with DC Reasi for election readiness.
Security points were discussed in detail viz. security plan for polling locations/polling booths(as per sensitivity of the location), Security of strong room, Collection/distribution centres of EVMs, hiring/de-hiring of vehicles, transportation/ communication plan, law and order, SOP in case of any exigency, surveillance over the activities of OGWs, Surrendered/Released militants, history sheeters, trouble mongers, misuse of social media, monitoring of movement of polling parties etc. Necessary directions were issued to the officers present in the meeting to work in close coordination with Civil Administration and other CAPF engaged in the election process in the district for conduct of smooth and incident free General Parliamentary Elections-2024. After culmination of the meeting, visited camping sites and checked accommodation of CAPF personnel and also took stock of the facilities available there. The officers present in the meeting were directed to ensure extra vigilance of the subordinate staff in their respective area of responsibility. |
