| PKM asks govt. to pay HRA, CCA to KPs without delay | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 6- Decrying the state government for its biased attitude towards the Kashmir Pandit community, Panun Kashmir Movement (PKM) has asked the government to pay House Rent (HRA) and City Compensation Allowances (CCA) to the employees of community without any further delay. In a meeting of its office bearers held here on Friday, President Panun Kashmir Movement (PKM), Ashwani Kumar Chrangoo expressed his dismay over the dodging tactics of successive state governments against the community. He said that it is unfortunate that the Pandits were always forced to seek redressal from Courts while the decision-making bodies preferred to avoid taking decision, which would benefit the community members. “Neglect in promotions, admissions in the technical institutions of the state and appointments in the government are a testimony of the fact that there was a mind set in the establishment which worked to discriminate against the Kashmiri Pandits,” he said and added that the government should announce a special employment package for the educated unemployed youth of the exiled community so that their situation of distress is attended to and dispersal is stopped. The meeting unanimously hailed the decision of the Division Bench of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court regarding the payment of HRA and CCA to the displaced employees of the J&K Government. The PKM urged upon the government to enhance the relief of the relief holders keeping in view the cost of price index. The members stressed upon the authorities to complete the Jagti Township at Nagrota by the time frame set by the previous government. Among others who attended the meeting included Upender Kaul, General Secretary, Kamal Bagati, R.K.Bhat, Virinder Kaul, Vijay Qazi and Nanaji Dembi.
