Northern Railways will run 130 pairs of special trains to various destinations to clear the rush during Durga Puja, Diwali, Chhat and Eid.
As many as 55 special trains would be started between Delhi and Patna to clear the puja rush, Divisional Railway Manager Pradeep Kumar told reporters.
Seventeen pairs of trains would run between Delhi and Howrah, 34 between Delhi and Jammu Tawi, 16 between Delhi and Mumbai and eight between Delhi and Lucknow, he informed.
Moreover, more coaches would be added to several trains to the Eastern states, he added.
The trains would be run between September 25 to October 29.
