| Police seize huge illicit liquor in Darai area | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 27: Continuing its special drive to tighten the noose of bootleggers, drug peddlers and other criminals , J&K Police has recovered huge quantity of illicit liquor In Darai area of Gandoh .
Giving details Police said that based on a specific information regarding manufacturing of illicit liquor, a police team of Police Station Gandoh headed by SHO Gandoh Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday assisted by PSI Avinash Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Gandoh sh Rajkumar raided the house of one Jai Ram s/o Dharam Chand r/o Darai Tehsil Gandoh and during search, 40 litres of Lahan 05 Ltrs of illicit liquor, and apparatus was recovered from the spot.
In this connection, case FIR No. 36/2024 under relevant sections under excise act has been registered at PS Gandoh and investigation started.
Doda Police has launched a special drive against bootleggers, drug smugglers, bovine smugglers and has reiterated the appeal to general pubic to cooperate and assist the police so that drug smuggling, manufacturing/selling of illicit liquor and other crime related activities are rooted out from the society and crime free atmosphere is built up |
