JAMMU, May 1: In order to make general public aware about Cyber crime, today on 1st of May-2024, Cyber Crime Investigation Unit Doda organized Cyber Awareness Day to observe "Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas" at District Hqrs Doda. The chief aim and objective of organizing awareness drive was to aware the students in particular and general public at large about Cyber related Crimes and precautionary measures to be taken to tackle with it. Under this programme lectures were delivered by in-charge Cyber Crime Investigation Unit Doda to the participants. The participants were briefed minutely about the use of cyber crime portal. They were appraised about the floating trends of fraudsters to trap common man in their tricks to loot their hard earned money by way of cyber fraud and various type of online cheating like credit card fraud, OTP / QR scan frauds, online gaming frauds, take loan frauds. Participants were also cautioned to keep their social media accounts secure and safe and also be aware while accepting / chatting with unknown person on facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram, Twitter etc.
Mentionable here that cyber awareness programmes are being organized to spread the awareness of Cyber related crimes, online frauds, cheating among the general public so that common people may not get trapped in the net of fraudsters / cheaters. |
