DLSA meets recent Land Subsidence victims of Pernote; Assures every possible help in their rehabilitation

RAMBAN, May 1: District Legal Services Authority, Ramban and District Judiciary Ramban under the directions of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Ramban, Ranbir Singh Jasrotia visited the affected area of village Pernote, district Ramban where heavy destruction had taken place due to major landslide and land subsidence in which more than 60 families have been badly affected.
In the said visit, Chairman, DLSA Ramban was accompanied by Secretary, DLSA Ramban, Anjana Rajput; Munsiff, Judicial Magistrate First Class, Siddhant Vaid; President, District Bar Association Ramban, Suraj Singh Parihar along with other officials of DLSA, district Judiciary Ramban and members of the Bar.
They met with the victims of the disaster who are residing at different temporary locations provided by the district administration, NGOs and Civil Societies. They assured the victims of all possible assistance by taking note of all their grievances and problems.
The DLSA is also preparing a factual report in collaboration with the District Administration to take note of all the damage and loss suffered by the affected persons which would then be taken up with the higher authorities. DLSA Ramban is in continuous touch with the district administration to provide effective and timely medical and other aids. DLSA Ramban is also organizing full day help desks at the temporary shelters at Panchayat Ghar Pernote & Community Hall Maitra to record the needs and grievances of the affected persons.
