| Udhampur police rescues 88 bovines in three different cases | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, May 3: Udhampur Police rescued 88 cattles from the clutches of bovine smugglers in three different cases.
Team of Police Post Roundomail led by Insp. Raghubir Singh SHO PS Udhampur and assisted by PSI Mohd. Shafique IC PP Roundomail foiled 04 bovine smuggling bids in which total 62 bovines were rescued from 04 different groups of bovine smugglers who were taking these bovines by foot towards Kashmir valley. All the smugglers fled away from the spot after noticing the police party on road. In this regard 04 different FIR cases under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Udhampur. In another case of bovine smuggling, team of Police Station Majalta led by Insp. Kesar Singh SHO PS Majalta rescued 11 bovines from two smugglers namely Mohd. Aroun S/O Mohd. Suba and Mohd. Yaseen S/O Mohd. Manni both resident of Goran Tehsil Samba who were smuggling these bovines by foot from Samba towards Kashmir withoit any valid permission. All the 11 bovines were rescued and both the accused persons got arrested. In this regard, case FIR No. 44/2024 under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Majalta. While in one more bovine smuggling case, in which Police team of PS Udhampur rescued 15 more bovines from one smuggler namely Imtiyaz Ali S/O Haji Shah Ali R/O Samba who got arrested on spot. In this regards, A Case FIR No. 219/2024 stands registered in PS Udhampur. Further investigation of the cases are underway. |
