Government Polytechnic Jammu celebrates Certificate Distribution Ceremony

JAMMU, May 4: Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu recently organized a Certificate Distribution Function under the prestigious PM Vishwakarma Scheme. The event marked a significant milestone as over 180 trainees from various trades were honored for their successful completion of Basic Skilling Training.
The ceremony recognized the dedication and hard work of trainees from Four Batches in Tailor (Darzi), Two Batches of Carpenter (Suthar) Trade, Two Batches of Assistant Barber-Salon Services Trade, One Batch of Blacksmith (Lohar), and One Batch of Brick Mason (Rajmistri). These individuals underwent rigorous training, equipping them with essential skills vital for their respective trades.
Er. Arun Bangotra, the esteemed Principal of Government Polytechnic Jammu, elucidated the fundamental objectives of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. He emphasized the scheme's aim to acknowledge artisans' contributions to society by providing them with recognition through PM Vishwakarma Certificates and offering basic training spanning from five to seven days.
A highlight of the event was an informative session conducted by the staff from SBI Bank, enlightening attendees about loan schemes available under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. Trainees were briefed on the application procedures for availing loans, empowering them further in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
Amidst heartfelt expressions of gratitude from the trainees towards the college administration for the seamless execution of their training, the ceremony witnessed the presence of distinguished guests and faculty members. Notable attendees included Sh. Inderjeet Singh, Workshop Superintendent, Sh. Manjeet Singh, HOD Electrical Engineering, Sh. Sukhdeep Singh, HOD Civil Engineering/SPoC, Sh. Sanjay Koul, HOD Computer Engineering, Smt. Sakshi Kapahi, Lecturer I&C, Sh. Paramjot Singh, Demonstrator Civil Engineering, along with dedicated instructors and supporting staff.
The event resonated with the spirit of skill development and empowerment, as various stakeholders came together to celebrate the achievements of the trainees under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. It underscored the commitment of Government Polytechnic Jammu towards nurturing talent and fostering socio-economic growth in the region.
