| EDEWF calls on CE, I&FC; discuss day to problems | | |

Jammu, Mar 7- A deputation of United Diploma Engineer’s Welfare Forum (UDEWF) led by Upinder Singh, under the chairmanship of S.C Goswami, met Chief Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control Dalip Bakshi here today and discussed the problems being faced by Junior Engineers in their day to day working.
The deputation demanded that the site account payable to them should be adjusted along with claims/bills material should be issued to the contractors on cash payment with proper receipts of contractors. They also demanded a comprehensive transfer policy as most of Junior Engineers have completed 5-7 years in respective Divisions.
The Forum claimed that the Chief Engineer gave the patient hearing to the deputation nd assured that all their genuine demands shall be taken care of at earliest.
Prominent among those in the deputation included Manjit Singh, Gopal Badyal, Harish Kumar, Kuljeet Singh, Anirudh Singh Jamwal, Ravinder Dwafana, Ashok Raina, Avinash Sharma, Sunil Raina, Pradeep Fotedar and Anil Gupta.
