| ‘Sham-e-Ghazal’ enthralls audience at Abhinav Theatre | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 7- Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala organized Sham-e-Ghazal at Abhinav Theatre here this evening. Savita Bakshi, Additional Secretary of the Academy while welcoming the audience said that Academy is committed to initiate the activities to promote and encourage the culture, literature and visual art of the state and also to exchange the cultural ethos of the other states of the country. Number of programs of national standards has been organized in the recent past, she said and that today’s ‘Sham-e-Ghazal’ is the special program to promote and give recognition to the local talent. She further told that it is a matter of pride privilege for Jammu people that our state has the talent in the field of music at par with the talent of National repute. The artists, who presented Ghazal in the program included Shaam Sajan, Deepali Wattal and Dharmesh Nargotra. The Academy is organizing ‘Sufiyana Musiquee concert tomorrow wherein Manak Ali and Party and Neelay Khan and Party from Punjab and the reputed and prominent singers will present Sufi Qalam tomorrow.
