SC Welfare Association demand representation in Legislature

Jammu, Mar 7- All Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Caste Welfare Association in a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of its president B.R. Kundal discussed the present political scenario prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir and the matters concerning the schedule caste community.
The meeting unanimously passed a resolution seeking reservation for the community in the state legislature. The meeting observed that while the schedule tribe is getting representation but not the schedule castes.
One million people of the community in the state have been denied any representation both in the state legislature and in the Parliament which, according to the association members is a great injustice with them.
Om Raj Bhallm Dr. Milkhi Ram, Jagdish Raj Bhagat, Balak Ram, Amin Chand Bhagat Chand Nasib Chand, Mohinder Singh Bhagat, Saran Dass Manyal and Ram Lal Lakhnotra attended the meeting.
