Jammu Mar 7- On the eve of International Women’s Day felicitation ceremony was organized by T. S. Group of Institution and Dainik Jagran in collaboration with Women Studies Centre, Government College of Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
Dr. Ved Kumari Ghai was the Chief Guest while Meenakshi Kilam DCD University of Jammu was the Guest of Honour.
A galaxy of multi talented women of Jammu was felicitated on the occasion. They included Dr. Ravinder Madan, leading Gynecologist and Pedestrian, Sarita Chauhan, Special Secretary Agriculture, Champa Sharma, Dogri Poetess, Pooja Malhotra women entrepreneur in the field of higher education, Seema Shekhar, Additional Advocate General, Deepika Thakur Deputy Director IEC J&K State Aids Prevention & Control Society, Rajani Sehgal, Jailer, Central Jail Jammu, Roop Avtar Kaul DFO. Social Forestry, Zahida Khan, Director School Education, Mitali Ji-Gymnast. Dr Parna Choudhary Chairperson of J.P World School was also present.
The participants apprised the audience with their views in their specialized fields on women empowerment, girl child, self employment, health environment, education, nutrition, law and order and police protection. They all stressed upon that the road to glory and journey towards excellence is not easy but is full of obstacles and hardships. However one can achieve it with dedication, hard work and honesty. They all have achieved their desired platform and epitome of pinnacle and position. It was a splendid feast to the eyes and brain.
Students of Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar, Jammu also enthralled the audience with their stage presentation. Principal of the college welcomed the guests while Hemla Aggarwal, Director-Women’s Studies Centre GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu presented vote of thanks.
