| “HIP HOPPER” wins best skit title | | |

Jammu Mar 7- Under the ongoing final phase of “Display Your Talent” 2008-09, an Inter Collegiate/Departmental Skit Competition, was organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium.
“HIP HOPPER” a satire on Tele-shopping, presented by the team form GGM Science College, (Evening) was adjudged as the Best Skit while “TOA” highlighting the problems of a common man, presented by the Government Women College, Parade, was adjudged second.
Display of superb histrionics by some of the young participants received applause from the audience and also fetched individual acting awards for them.
Mukesh Kumar from the GGM Science College,( evening) as “Hip –Hopper -5” and Shivani Sharma also from the same College, as Hip Hopper -2, were adjudged Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively. Certificates of Merit in acting were awarded to Divya Sharma from GWC Parade as “Foreign Reporter”, Shifali Gupta from GGM Science College, (evening) as “Hip –Hopper-1” and Vikas Sharma from the same college(morning) as “Greh Mantri”.
Prizes were awarded by Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, Associate Dean (SW).
It may be mentioned here that due to Holi break, the rest of the events i.e. Classical Dance Solo, Creative Dance and Folk Dances competitions shall start from March 16, 2009
