Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi Visits Sufi Shrine, Emphasizes Peace and Development in J&K

Poonch, May 9 : In a significant visit to Poonch district, Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, paid homage at the Sufi Shrine of Sain Baba Miran Sahib and engaged in various events within the complex, reaffirming her commitment to peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Andrabi received a warm welcome from the local populace, acknowledging her pivotal role in transforming the Waqf Board into a dynamic and transparent organization. She meticulously assessed the facilities for devotees within the shrine’s campus and evaluated infrastructural requirements, accompanied by Waqf Board CEO Dr. Amir Hussain and other officials. Convening a meeting with Board officers, Dr. Andrabi made decisions aimed at enhancing facilities within the campus, reflecting her dedication to improving the spiritual experience for visitors. Additionally, she met with public delegations to address important community concerns, demonstrating her accessibility and commitment to grassroots engagement. One of the highlights of Dr. Andrabi’s visit was a meeting with religious preachers in Poonch, where prominent scholars such as Mufti Farooq Misbahi, Khateeb Jamia Masjid Poonch, and Maulana Syed Fida Hussain, among others, participated. The discussions underscored the importance of religious harmony and community development in the region.
Speaking to the media, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi expressed optimism about the improved law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the region’s progress amidst a peaceful environment.
