Jammu, Mar 8- A deputation of employees and gardeners of the Floriculture department led by National Mazdoor Conference chief Subash Shastri called on principal secretary Agriculture Production here today and presented a charter of demands.
The demands put forth by deputation included early reconstituting of D.P.C, provision of uniforms, up gradation of grades to those gardeners who are working as clerks, head mallies, electricians etc, technical grades for gardeners, appointing of head gardener for 15 gardeners, issuance of seniority list of gardeners, up gradation of 8 head mallies, promoting of helpers to gardeners and continuance of services of casual labourers and regularization of the services of contractual workers.
The principal secretary gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured that the issues raised would be considered on merit.
Among others Raghupal, Mohammed Shafi, Madan Lal, Surinder Kumar, Tarsem Lal, Mohammed Aziz, Harbans Lal, Kimti Lal, Kuldeep Sharma, Jagdev Singh, Chaman Lal were with the deputation.
