DHS visits SDH Bhaderwah, inspects facilities

DODA, May 10: On day second of his tour to District Doda, the Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Rakesh Magotra, visited Govt. Sub District Hospital, Bhaderwah today on 10-05-2024 to evaluate the healthcare services and facilities provided to the community.
This visit was a part of the ongoing efforts by the Health Department to monitor and improve healthcare standards across the region.
The DHS Jammu toured various departments of Bhaderwah Hospital, including the Emergency ward, inpatient units, outpatient clinics, Labour Room and diagnostic facilities. The purpose of the visit was to gain firsthand knowledge about the hospital’s infrastructure, patient care procedures and the overall healthcare delivery system.
During the visit, DHS Jammu engaged in discussions with the hospital administration, medical staff and frontline healthcare workers. They exchanged valuable insights and ideas on ways to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare services in Bhaderwah Hospital. The Director Health Services Jammu acknowledged the dedication and hard work of the healthcare professionals and expressed gratitude for their tireless efforts in serving the community. In their remarks, DHS emphasized the importance of continuous improvement in healthcare delivery, emphasizing the need for patient-centered care and efficient healthcare management. They also highlighted the significance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness, infection control, and adherence to medical protocols for the safety and well-being of patients.
The DHS enquired about the availability of medicines, diagnostic and other facilities in the hospital and services being provided to patients there and also interacted with the patients and attendants to inquire about their satisfaction with the services of this health institution.
Later on, the DHS Jammu held a brief meeting with the staff members of SDH Bhaderwah and listen to their grievances. The DHS was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Om Kumar, DIO Doda Dr Versha Sharma whereas BMO Bhaderwah Dr Mohd Ashraf, medical and paramedical staff of the SDH Bhaderwah hospital was present on the occasion.
