| Army organizes 2-day medical camp at Kutwalta, Samba | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 8- In yet another gesture of the Indian Army’s resolve to reach out the locals of the J&K, Tiger Division organized a 2-day medical camp at village Kutwalta, District Samba under the aegis of Sunrise Brigade. The success of the camp could be judged by the overwhelming response of the locals, it was yet another milestone in the spectacular journey of “Op Sadbhavana” into the very hearts of the residents of the village.
The camp inaugurated by Commander of Sunrise Brigade concluded today. A team of army and civil doctors rendered free medical aid to the patients at the camp. The services offered by the camp included Medical, Surgical, Pediatric, Gynecological, ENT, Dental treatment and “Eye check up”. Other facilities like X-Ray, Clinic laboratory, ECG and free medicines were also provided. Health education of young girls and women was conducted by lady Medical Officer covering ante partum, post partum and common problems of menstruation, menarche, child birth, prevention and control of common diseases. Organizing such camps are a part of the Army’s drive to reach out to the civilian population in remote areas and the response generated reflected the close bonding between the civilian population and the Army.
