Airtel organizes painting competition

Jammu, Mar 8- Bharti Airtel Ltd, J&K circle in association with Kala Kendra organized a Painting Competition for the children of its Channel Partners at Kala Kendra, here today. S M Sahai, IG crime was the chief guest on the occasion.
Rajesh Aggarwal, Head Sales and Marketing, Bharti Airtel Ltd, J&K Circle while inaugurating the event said that this initiative would help to explore the artistic expression of the thoughts of young mind, besides enable to fortify our relationship with our channel partners.”
In all, more than 150 children from various parts of city participated in the on-the- spot Painting Competition. The children divided into three categories of Sub- Junior, Junior and Senior categories portrayed their imagination through the vibrant strokes of brush on the topic of Environment. Some understood the need for the conservation while some painted the picture perfect of the bounties of nature. While the students were busy contesting for the top slots, the parents were eagerly waiting for the results to be out.

Judges in artists Shibani Sehgal, Rohit Verma, Milan Sharma had a tough time deciding the winners in each category. Neha Rathore, Naresh Malhotra and Megha Sharma emerged as first, second, third prize winners respectively in senior category while as Mehak, first prize, Ananya Billoria second prize, Shweta Mehra, third prize were adjudged best in junior category. The sub junior category winners included Ratika Gupta first prize, Parth, second prize and Sachit, third prize.
Chief Guest S M Sahai lauded the initiative of Airtel and evinced keen interest in the drawings of the children. He presented trophies and gifts to the winners. All the participants were also presented with a Participation Certificate. Sami Butt, Zonal Business Manager, Jammu presented the welcome address and vote of thanks.
