BLSKS celebrates "Happy Mother's Day" with musical play "MAMTA" at Govt mixed Hr Sec School

JAMMU, May 11: In a heartwarming celebration of maternal love and cultural heritage, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) marked "Happy Mother's Day" with the performance of its 424th Regular Series Musical Play titled "MAMTA" at Government Mixed Higher Secondary School, Durga Nagar, Bantalab, Jammu. The event, held in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Social Welfare Department, Jammu & Kashmir Government, aimed to pay tribute to mothers while promoting the rich traditional culture of Jammu and Kashmir.
Musical Play "MAMTA": Directed and written by the renowned Dr. M.L. Dogra, the musical play "MAMTA" captivated the audience with its portrayal of maternal love and familial bonds. Through melodious songs and captivating performances, the play resonated with the audience, emphasizing the significance of mothers in our lives.
Awareness Initiatives: In addition to celebrating Mother's Day, the event aimed to raise awareness about the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan. Smt. Usha Raina, Guru of BLSKS, administered a pledge to over 400 students and teachers, highlighting the importance of combating substance abuse for a healthier society.
Distinguished Guests: The event was graced by chief guest Bharat Bhushan, Principal of Government Mixed Higher Secondary School, Bakshi Nagar, along with esteemed guests Sanjana Ganjoo, Ajay Bhat, Ashok, and senior teachers of the host school.
Bharat Bhushan: In his address, chief guest Bharat Bhushan underscored the significance of Mother's Day in honoring the selfless love and sacrifices of mothers worldwide. He commended the efforts of BLSKS in organizing impactful awareness programs and acknowledged the importance of promoting cultural heritage.
Dr. M.L. Dogra: Chairman of BLSKS, Dr. M.L. Dogra, emphasized the timeless tradition of honoring mothers and expressed gratitude for their unwavering support and sacrifices. He also shed light on the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan, highlighting the importance of addressing substance abuse for societal well-being.
K K Joshi: Vice Chairman of BLSKS, K K Joshi, extended warm wishes for a Happy Mother's Day and reiterated BLSKS's commitment to promoting Dogra culture through various cultural programs.
Singers, musicians, and actors, including Usha Raina, Mahesh Chander Kotwal, Raju Bajgal, Chahat Chadha, Rajni Gupta, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, and Rahul Kumar, delivered captivating performances, leaving the audience spellbound.
The event concluded on a high note with Master Deepak Kumar extending a vote of thanks for the successful conduct of the program, reflecting the spirit of gratitude and appreciation on Mother's Day.
