Jammu, Mar 8-Expressing great happiness over the victory of Jahangir Mir as MLC, convenor Anjuman ul-Muslimeen Poonch M.Tarik Khan has said that this decision will definitely boost the confidence of the local people and ground level workers on the democratic set up of the country.
In a statement he said that the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch would now emerge as developed districts with the efforts of Mir.
While thanking AICC President Sonia Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz, Khan said this step shows the constructive policies and visionary mind of the congress leadership.
He on his behalf and on behalf of the Anjuman congratulated Mir on his victory in the election.
