Inter Zonal District Level Cricket Competition for U-14 boys commences in Jammu

JAMMU, May 17: The Inter Zonal District Level Cricket Competition for boys under 14 years commenced on May 17, 2024, at Government High School Jammu Cantt. Organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports of District Jammu, the event saw enthusiastic participation from around 60 young cricketers from various zones within the district.
The competition is held under the patronage of Subhash Chander Chibber (JKAS), Director of Youth Services and Sports, JK UT, and under the guidance of Ved Parkash (JKAS), Joint Director of Youth Services and Sports Jammu. The event is supervised by Ram Murti on behalf of DYSSO Jammu, Sunil Kumar. The primary goal of this competition is to identify the best players for future competitions.
The officials overseeing the competition include Sandeepan Sharma, Sat Paul Singh, Jagtar Singh, Suresh Singh, Mukesh Sharma, Payal Choudhary, Satika Sharma, and Dinesh Sharma.
Results of U-14 Boys Cricket Matches:
1st Match: Zone Satwari vs. Zone Miran Sahib
Zone Miran Sahib Inning: Scored 93 runs, all out. Ankit scored 66 not out. Surjeet and Bhanya took 3 wickets each, and Sharan took 2 wickets for Zone Satwari.
Zone Satwari Inning: Scored 94 runs for 5 wickets. Rakesht scored 23 runs and Inveer Singh scored 21 runs.
Result: Zone Satwari won by 5 wickets.
2nd Match: Zone Bhalwal vs. Zone RS Pura
Zone Bhalwal Inning: Scored 102 runs for 4 wickets. Aankv scored 33 runs and Sanjay scored 19 runs.
Zone RS Pura Inning: Scored 54 runs, all out. Adyan scored 13 runs. Kirtan took 2 wickets and Rahul took 1 wicket for Zone Bhalwal.
Result: Zone Bhalwal won by 48 runs.
The competition continues to foster young talent and provide a platform for budding cricketers to showcase their skills and advance to higher levels of competition.
