5/17/2024 9:47:04 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 17: In a significant breakthrough, the Railway Police (GRP) Jammu has arrested Kamal Kumar, son of Parmanand, a resident of Mangloor, Tehsil Hiranagar, District Kathua. Kumar had been evading arrest for 13 years in connection with FIR No. 09/2011 under sections 279/304A of the RPC, filed at P/S GRP Jammu.
The arrest marks a successful conclusion to a prolonged search for Kumar, who was involved in a case of rash driving leading to culpable homicide. His long-term evasion had posed a challenge to law enforcement, but persistent efforts by the GRP have finally led to his capture.
In the last seven weeks alone, the Railway Police (GRP) Jammu has executed 10 warrants under section 512 CrPC against various absconders, who had been evading arrest for decades in different cases. This operation demonstrates the commitment and efficiency of the GRP in addressing long-pending cases and bringing fugitives to justice.
The community and local authorities have welcomed this development, seeing it as a step towards ensuring accountability and the rule of law.
