| CAMPAIGN ON ‘RESURGENT INDIA’ INAUGURATED | | | Leh, September 21, The five day long Exhibition on ‘Resurgent India’ under Government of India’s flagship programme of Bharat Nirman began here today at Polo Ground. The Exhibition, which is a part of Public Information Campaign, being organised by Press Information Bureau, Government of India, Jammu in collaboration with various media units of Information and Broadcasting Ministry, was today inaugurated by Chief Executive Councilor, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council(LAHDC), Sh.Tsering Dorje. Among others present on the occasion included Sh.T.Nurboo Lampa, Executive Councilor(Agriculture),Sh.Dorjay Mutup, Executive Councilor (Heallth), Sh.Tsewang Rigzin, Executive Councilor(Education), Sh.Mohd.Khan, Executive Councilor(Minorities), District Development Commissioner, Sh.M.K.Dwivedi, Senior Superintendent of Police, Sh.Alok Kumar and other civil and police officials .
Sh.T.Dorje after inaugurating the DAVP Exhibition of ‘Resurgent India’ went round the DAVP Stall and saw all the paintings and photographs which were depicting progress made by India since independence in almost every field. He said that such type of Exhibitions can make people really aware that how much progress has been made by India during the last fifty years. He hoped that a large number of people from Leh and surrounding villages will visit the DAVP Exhibition and will get benefited a lot . He was all praise for Press Information Bureau, Government of India , Jammu for selecting Leh as a venue for organizing Public Information Campaign on such a large scale.
Accompanied by Deputy Director General, Press Information Bureau, Government of India, New Delhi, Sh. A. K. Saxena and Director(M&C), PIB, Northern Region, Smt. Bharti Vaid, Sh. T.Dorje visited various other stalls put up be various State and Central Government agencies.
Later speaking on the occasion, Sh.Dorje urged people to come out in large numbers and visit these stalls so as to acquaint themselves with various centrally sponsored schemes so as to know how to avail benefits from these centrally sponsored schemes.
