JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School Hosts Enthusiastic Mother’s Day Competition

Jammu, May 17: The Junior Wing of JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School celebrated a vibrant competition for the mothers of elementary students, highlighting the essence of motherhood with high spirits and merriment. The event, filled with activities and fun, aimed to create memorable moments for the mothers, who were specially invited to enjoy a day of appreciation and honor.
The venue, decorated according to the theme, saw the presence of esteemed members of the school management, including Mr. Apurv Gupta, Dean Academics JKMS, and Mrs. Ojsevy Gupta. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, followed by a welcome song performed by the students and a welcome address delivered by Mrs. Aarti Gupta, Principal JKMS.
Each mother received a handcrafted tiara and a basket of flowers made by their children, adding a personal touch to the celebration. The cultural program featured various songs and dances performed by the students, along with numerous fun-filled activities and games that saw enthusiastic participation from the mothers. The highlight of the event was the Ramp-walk by the incredible mothers, which was met with great applause.
The program concluded on a joyful note, with all the mothers invited on stage to dance with their children to foot-tapping tunes. To capture these special moments of happiness and emotion, each mother had a picture clicked with her child as a token of remembrance.
Awards were presented to the mothers for their outstanding performances:
• Ramp-Walk: Rimpy Sharma, mother of Takshvi Sharma (EW)
• Dance:
o First Prize: Sonal Rana, mother of Advay Bakshi (EW)
o Second Prize: Marvi Mahajan, mother of Ridhvik Mahajan (RTF-I)
• Singing: Sapna Gupta, mother of Vanya Gupta (RTF-II)
Mrs. Rajni Gupta, Director JKMS, emphasized the irreplaceable role of mothers as the emotional backbone of the family and their significant impact on shaping a child’s personality. She conveyed deep respect and gratitude towards all mothers, acknowledging them as priceless gifts from God to mankind.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Sonia Kapoor, Coordinator JKMS, followed by the National Anthem. The event not only celebrated motherhood but also strengthened the bond between the school community and the families.
