Placement drive at YCET yields successful outcomes for students

JAMMU, May 18: Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) recently conducted a successful placement drive in collaboration with Shining Stars IT Private Limited, attracting major companies such as Zomato, Flipkart, and Myntra. The drive aimed to provide career opportunities for students from both YCET and the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS).
Shining Stars IT Private Limited, a leading executive search firm, facilitated the placement drive, which saw participation from various sectors across India. Known for their expertise in BPOs, KPOs, and ITEs, Shining Stars has a reputation for delivering top-notch recruitment services.
Participating Companies
Zomato: An Indian multinational restaurant aggregator and food delivery company providing information, menus, and user reviews of restaurants. Founded in 2008, Zomato operates in over 1,000 Indian cities and towns.
Flipkart: An Indian e-commerce giant headquartered in Bangalore, offering a wide range of products including consumer electronics, fashion, and home essentials.
Myntra: An Indian fashion e-commerce company headquartered in Bengaluru, known for its express delivery service launched in 2022, offering rapid delivery within 24-48 hours.
Selection Process
The placement drive involved a rigorous selection process including group discussions, typing tests, and technical interviews. Out of 20 shortlisted candidates, seven students were successfully selected:
From YCET:
Zeeshan, Sahil Chaku, Ayushi Bandral, Ankita Baghal, Zubair Ahmed and Ruhail Abrol
From IMS: Maverick
These students were offered annual packages ranging from Rs. 2-3 lakhs.
