JAMMU, May 18: In a significant breakthrough, the Railway Police (GRP) Jammu has arrested Ajaz Ahmed Malik, son of Habib Ullah, a resident of Nowgam Hanjipura, Kulgam. Malik was involved in Case FIR No. 19/2010 under Section 382 RPC of Police Station GRP Jammu. He had been evading arrest for the past 14 years.
Malik, who had several pending warrants under Section 512 CrPC, was finally apprehended. The concerned authorities have been informed about the arrest. This successful operation is part of a broader crackdown by the Railway Police, which has executed 12 warrants under Section 512 CrPC against absconders in the last seven weeks. These individuals had been avoiding arrest in various cases pending for decades.
