| Kotwal for strict K.oil distribution system | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, MARCH 09 - In order to streamline and regularize the distribution of Kerosene through Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department in Jammu city, the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr. Pawan Kotwal today convened a meeting of CAPD officers here this evening. Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari, SSP, Jammu, Mr. Manohar Singh, Joint Director CAPD, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu and other senior officers of CAPD and Revenue were also present on the occasion. Interacting with the officers, Dr. Kotwal stressed upon the officers of CAPD to regularize the system by dividing each circle in Jammu city in two categories i.e. category Ist and category-II. In category-I, the CAPD should ensure that there should be fixed dates in every month and give its wide publicity by all means available regarding the distribution points, date and time of dispensing the K.Oil to the genuine ration card holders so that ration card holders of that area should know when the k.oil would become available at their respective distribution points. He asked them to put some sign-boards at the identified points including date, time and rate of K.oil etc. In category-II, the CAPD should fix up the dates, places and time on monthly or bi-monthly basis depending upon the availability of K-oil with the stockists/department on which the ration card holders would get their monthly quota of K-oil. Divisional Commissioner asked District Magistrate, Jammu to monitor the system closely on regular basis.
