| Offices told to vacate Mubarak Mandi | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, MARCH 09 (INFO)-To review the latest status of handing over possession alongwith keys of buildings, premises of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex under the possession of Heads of Departments and Provincial Level Officers to the storekeeper of Mubarak Mandi Jammu Heritage Society, (MMJHS) for carrying out restoration work, a meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal here this afternoon. Discussing the issues related to handing over possession alongwith keys of buildings occupied by respective departments to MMJHS, the Divisional Commissioner asked the departments who have not yet vacated to expedite the process and handover possession within a day or two. The additional structures of plywood put up by various departments should also be removed. Interacting with the officers, Dr Kotwal was apprised about the present status of each department and the related difficulties were also discussed. Director Archives, Register Cooperatives, Branch Manager J&K Bank, Secretary KVIB, Director Social Welfare and Joint Director Information were among those present in the meeting. Later, the Divisional Commissioner took a review of the various developmental projects in and around Jammu city. He reviewed the ongoing work of the Migrant Township at Jagti and Bus stand at Khampur in Nagrota wherein he was informed that the phase-I of the bus stand will be completed by April this year. He also reviewed various projects being executed by JKPCC which include construction of J&K Public Service Commission building at Resham Ghar Colony, construction of Divisional Commisisoner’s Office at Railhead and construction of Super-Specialty hospital complex of Jammu Medical College. While discussing various issues related to the construction of super-specialty hospital complex, Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned line departments to design plans for drainage and biomedical waste disposal system. He also took stock of the work on Sitle Water Filtration Plant and asked the executing agency to ensure the work on the project is completed on time. He also assessed the work on Tawi Embankment project and the Haj House project at Railhead. Among others present in the meeting were Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, Relief Commissioner, Director ERA, General Manager JKPCC and officer of CPWD and PHE.
