COL Vinod Pmg Jammu discusses post office schemes with Dc Rajouri

Jammu, May 20: Col Vinod PMG Jammu today on 20-05-2024 met with on Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shri Om Parkash Bhagat during a special meeting at DC Office Rajouri. The duo discussed various flagship schemes of the central government being offered by the Department of Posts to the residents of this border district.
Col Vinod informed the DC about the various steps being taken by the Postal Department to provide the best possible services like Passport Seva, Aadhar, Insurance, Small Savings, Mail, Parcel, India post Payments Bank and Speed Post services. He informed the DC that the Department has augmented its logistic infrastructure to align it at par with the rest of the country ensuring speedy delivery of mail.
Col Vinod laid special emphasised on the Sukanya Samridhi Yojana under the brand ambit of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”.
The DC was requested to lend his support to further popularize this scheme amongst the public of Rajouri district especially in c/w Kissan Samman Nidhi and other DBT disbursement. He also explained about providing insurance cover to the people of Rajouri by rural postal life insurance and PLI. He also appraised the services of RTN through which the article booked in Delhi reached to Srinagar next day positively.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the role of India Post for its dedication and excellent services being offered in district Rajouri and assured of all possible help to further promote the various people-friendly schemes of the Postal Department in the public.
On this occasion, Col Vinod apprised the DC of the various activities organized by the Department of Posts during three days at Rajouri. Col Vinod presented a customised “My Stamp” to the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri on this occasion.
Sh. Chandan Sharma ASPOs Rajouri, Sh. Santosh Kumar, ASPO’s Jammu Division and Shri Ram Lal and Shri Sanjay also attended the meeting..
