GDC, SHO conduct special lecture on drug abuse, cyber crime at Ghagwal

JAMMU, May 20: Government Degree College (GDC) Ghagwal, in collaboration with the Samba Police, hosted an impactful special lecture on the pressing issues of Drug Abuse and Cyber Crime. This informative session, held at GDC Ghagwal, was spearheaded by Dr. Vani Awasthi, NCORD Nodal Officer, under the guidance of the esteemed Principal, Dr. Sujata Slathia.
The event featured SS Chouhan, Station House Officer (SHO) of Ghagwal, along with his dedicated team, who provided in-depth insights into the dangers of drug abuse and the complexities of cybercrime. Their expert presentations highlighted preventive measures, legal ramifications, and real-life case studies, offering the audience a comprehensive understanding of these critical issues.
The lecture was well-attended by all teaching faculty members and enthusiastic NSS volunteers from the second semester. Their active participation underscored the importance of community awareness and education in combating these societal challenges.
Following the session, attendees were treated to a refreshing and much-needed chilling treat, providing a welcome respite from the scorching weather.
Dr. Sujata Slathia, Principal of GDC Ghagwal, expressed her gratitude to the Samba Police and emphasized the college's commitment to fostering a safe and informed community. "Collaborative efforts like these are crucial in educating our youth and empowering them to make informed decisions. We are grateful to SHO SS Chouhan and his team for their valuable contribution," she remarked.
