Notorious drug peddler Chirag Attri, held under PIT NDPS Act

JAMMU, May 21: Acting tough against drug peddlers and to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Jammu & Kashmir Police in Jammu District booked the wanted and notorious drug peddler under PIT NDPS Act in Sub Division R.S.Pura and lodged him in District Jail Kathua.
This wanted, notorious drug smuggler namely Chirag Attri S/O Sh. Ved Ram Attri R/O Chak Jaralan, Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu was booked under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu. The booked drug smuggler has been detained and subsequently lodged in District Jail at Kathua.
Pertinent to mention that multiple cases under NDPS Act were registered against the above mentioned drug peddler, who was involved in promoting drug abuse & trade by supplying drugs to local youth of the area.
Despite his involvement in multiple FIRs, he did not mend his activities and was again involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth.
The above said notorious drug peddler/criminal has remained successful every time in securing the bails from the Hon'ble Court and in order to refrain the subject from indulging in criminal activities, a dossier (PIT NDPS Act) was recommended against him, upon which, the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu had issued a PIT NDPS Act warrant against him.
The arrest was made by a team of Police Station Bishnah headed by SHO P/S Bishnah under the close supervision of SDPO R.S.Pura & SP Headquarters Jammu & overall supervision of SSP Jammu.
The locals of the area have appreciated the efforts of Jammu Police in taking taugh stand against the drug peddlers.
