Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 22: FICCI FLO JKL, in collaboration with SMVD Narayana Superspecialty Hospital, organized a comprehensive health camp in Purkhoo, Block Bhalwal. This event was a part of the FICCI FLO JKL 'Har Ghar Swasth' initiative, aimed at providing affordable healthcare to rural areas. Over 200 people from rural areas participated in the health camp and received expert medical diagnosis, check-up, and free medicines.
Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson FICCI FLO JKL interacted with the participants and urged them to come forward to avail the beneficial healthcare schemes being offered by the government. The health camp addressed a wide range of health concerns among the villagers, offering specialized services in orthopedics, ophthalmology, and general medicine. Specialist doctors from Narayana Super Specialty Hospital prescribed necessary medicines, which were then distributed free of cost to the patients.
A highlight of the camp was the deployment of the state-of-the-art Volvo medical bus from Narayana Hospital, equipped with facilities such as X-ray, ECG, and blood testing. The committed team of doctors attended to each patient, performing comprehensive health checks, and providing consultancy based on the diagnosis.
In addition to medical consultations, patients were educated about the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which provides free health services like joint replacements, cataract surgeries, and cochlear implants. Several patients needing cataract surgery were identified and scheduled for free procedures at Narayana.
FICCI FLO JKL is committed to organizing multiple health camps, aiming to reach as many rural households as possible. FICCI FLO JKL members demonstrating their dedication to this cause included Varuna Anand, Imm. Past Chair, Sona Mehta, Treasurer, Pooja Gandotra, Jt. Treasurer, Mona Saraf, Executive Secretary, Nandita Bajaj, Jt. Secretary, Tripti Khajuria, and Neha Mahajan. Mrs. Rajni Devi, Sarpanch of the village thanked the FICCI FLO JKL team and Narayana Hospital for organizing a high-quality health camp for the benefit of the people.
