JAMMU, May 23: Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) held a placement drive for BAJAJ MOTORS, The INDURE Pvt. Ltd, and AAPAI Technologies Limited for the students of YCET.
BAJAJ MOTORS is an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company based in Pune. It manufactures motorcycles, scooters and auto rickshaws. Bajaj Auto is a part of the Bajaj Group. It was founded by Jamnalal Bajaj (1889-1942) in Rajasthan in the 1940s. Bajaj Auto is the world's third-largest manufacturer of motorcycles and the second-largest in India. It is the world's largest three-wheeler manufacturer. In December 2020, Bajaj Auto crossed a market capitalization of Rs 1 trillion (US$13 billion), making it the world's most valuable two-wheeler company.
The Indure Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Company, was founded by late Mr. O.P Gupta in 1970. Today, it offers a wide spectrum of products and services for the power and other infrastructure sectors. Indure has grown its businesses organically. New opportunities in the Indian Power Sector were exploited using In-house Engineering, Construction & Manufacturing skills.
The Indure Pvt. Ltd. is the pioneer for Ash Handling System in India. Indian Coal has very high ash content of 40% - 60%, which is 3-5 times higher than the international averages. Moreover, the ash is highly abrasive because of high silica content. The power producing companies found it very difficult to handle the large quantity of ash that was being generated. In 1970, INDURE took up the challenge to supply Ash Handling equipment and has, over the years, mastered the complexities of handling large quantities of highly abrasive ash and has emerged as a market leader. It has now executed more than 250 ash handling installations totaling to over 90,000 MW of thermal power plant capacity in almost all the States of India and other countries such as Australia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, UAE, Zimbabwe, etc.
AAPAI TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED was established in the year 2006 at Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, "Aapai Technologies Limited" are a Sole Proprietorship based firm, engaged as the foremost Service Provider of CRM Software, Educational Software, Supply Chain Management Software, School Management Software and ERP Enterprises Resource Planning, etc. their services are high in demand due to their premium quality and affordable prices.
A total of around 64 students were shortlisted for the first round. At the end of the grueling selection process, which included a group discussion, technical interview, etc. Sixteen students from YCET were selected in Bajaj Motors and Indure pvt. Ltd. These students will join with the final annual package of Rs 4 Lakhs (approx.).
From Electrical Engineering Department three students namely; Jatin Bhargav; Parvinder Kaur and Ubaid Mushtaq Najar were selected in Indure Pvt. Ltd.
From Civil Department Eight students namely: Harman Kaur, Sayed Wasid Gilaani, Rahul Datta, Amitesh Kapoor, Usman Qayoom, Mohd. Ayaz Mirza, Adarsh Ajrawat and Azeem Aziz were selected in Indure Pvt. Ltd.
From Mechanical Department Five students namely: Mohammad Munayan Fafoo, Abhishek Sharma, Faizan Ali Mir, Gaurav and Naman Chib were selected in Bajaj Motors.
The program was conducted by the Placement Cell of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu. The officials from the company and Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology were involved to properly drive the placement process. Dheeraj Sharma: Head HR; M/s Tanushka Goyal: Sr. Executive, M/s Simran Verma: Sr. Executive, Shanskar agrawal: Executive and Anurag Goyal: Executive hailed the efforts put by the college in nurturing and exploring the young minds for a better tomorrow.
