CVPPPL Organizes Educational Events on Hygiene, Sanitation

Jammu, May 24: On the occasion of Swachhta Pakhwada-2024, Chenab Valley Power Projects Private Limited (CVPPPL) organized a series of educational activities aimed at promoting hygiene and sanitation awareness among school children. The events included a lecture session and a drawing competition held at Bal Bharati High School in Nanak Nagar, Jammu. Anand Kumar Tembhare, General Manager (HR) at CVPPPL, addressed the students, emphasizing the significance of personal hygiene in daily life.
Dr. Randeep Kaur from National Hospital, Jammu, delivered a comprehensive lecture on the proper use and safe disposal of sanitary napkins, highlighting the challenges associated with feminine hygiene and advocating for menstrual hygiene management in schools and workplaces. As part of the program, sanitary napkins and health drinks were distributed to the students.
Following the lecture, a drawing competition themed "Hygiene and Sanitation" engaged 30 students from classes 3rd to 10th. The participants showcased their artistic talents, supported by stationery materials provided by CVPPPL. Winners and participants were honored with prizes presented by Mr. Anand Kumar Tembhare and Mrs. Balvir Kour, Principal of Bal Bharati High School.
The initiative was part of CVPPPL's commitment to community welfare and education, aiming to instill habits of cleanliness and hygiene among the younger generation.
