Sahu advices educated youth not to hanker on white collar jobs

Leh: Feb 10 –Since the job opportunities in Government are declining year after year as such every educated youth should focus their mind on potential private entrepreneurships.
This was stated by the Deputy Commissioner, Ajeet Kumar Sahu while addressing at the valedictory function of 15-day training program to the entrepreneurs of Leh district under Credit Guarantee Scheme.
The training program was jointly organized by the J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Leh and the Khadi and Village Industries Board, in which as many as 65 entrepreneurs of the district participated.
The Deputy Commissioner said that private companies do not venture in Ladakh in view of limited potential and resources for large scale industries as such the local entrepreneurs should be attracted towards micro schemes, medium and small entrepreneurship projects.
Sahu expressed pleasure that this training program has extensively benefited the entrepreneurs of the district in their skill development, accounting and business management, marketing and confident building.
Pointing towards some potential areas, the DC said that establishing Khataks production unit and commercial purpose Green Houses could play a key role in the business of so many people.
He said that credit deposit ratio in Leh district is only 17 percent only against 30 percent. This indicates that people in less number are coming forward to avail loan in the district, he added. He strongly urged the entrepreneurs to avail loan and incentive schemes of the Government and said that district administration would extend every possible help and assistance for the intended entrepreneurs.
On this occasion the Zonal Officer, J&K Bank Leh VC Sharma, the Executive Officer, Khadi and Village Industries Board, two entrepreneurs Wangchuk and Nilza Angmo also spoke on the occasion.
The speakers appreciated the Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Leh Branch for playing a very crucial role in propagating the significance of entrepreneurships and holding trainings and workshops which have largely benefited for confidence building and skill development of the entrepreneurs in Leh.
