Jammu, Mar 10- Calling upon the people to rise to the occasion and discard the
disgruntled and opportunistic politicians, President Shiv Sena (Hindustan) Dimple Kohli
has regretted that the so-called patriotic leaders of Jammu who were given the mandate
by the public in recent assembly elections have once again betrayed and played with the
sentiments of innocent people of the region.
In a statement he said the recent cross voting by some BJP MLAs have once again
exposed their real character. ‘How shameful it is that the BJP MLA cross voted during
Legislative Council elections despite the clear instructions by the party’, he asked? ‘It is
clear that the BJP who speaks for the betterment of Jammu region are actually acting on
the tunes of Kashmir leaders just to keep them happy and protect their petty interests’, he
said. He appealed the people not to fall prey to the hollow slogans being raised by the
BJP leaders.
Referring to the just concluded session of the state assembly and the role of BJP, Kohli
said that BJP MLAs joined hands with others over the killings in Kashmir but did little
about those killed during the Amarnath land row in Jammu.
