Seerat Conference held on Eid-e-Milad

The birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was celebrated with great ethusiasm and religious fervour here today.
The Eid-e-Milad celebrations began with a Seerat Conference at Idgah, organized by Anjuman-e-Islah-ul-Muslimeen, which was also attended by Member Parliament and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Farooq Abdullah. The Idgah presented a colourful look and was decorated with buntings, posters, banners, signboards and arches.
Dr. Abdullah participated in the Mehfil-e-Milad, which started this morning and culminated with zuhr prayers.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Abdullah said the life of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is a source of inspiration for everyone, adding that his teachings signify how good can prevail over evil.
Several religious scholars in their speeches threw light on the extraordinary life of the great Prophet during the Conference, which was attended by a large number of people from all walks of life. A naat recital programme was the highlight of the conference during which students recited verses in praise of the Holy Prophet.
