J&K players bagged 2 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze medals in the championship

JAMMU, May 29: J&K kickboxing team emerged as an exceptional force to be reckoned with at the recently concluded WAKO India Kickboxing Championship of Sub Juniors and Cadets 2024, held in balewadi indoor stadium , Pune , Maharashtra . 4 players from the team clinched victories across various categories and events.
The championship witnessed fierce competition among 24 states and 5 UT's from across the country, with an impressive participation of 1000 talented kick boxers . J&K participated with a contingent of 10 players and 2 coaches and showcased their mettle on the kickboxing arena.
The athletes from WAKO J&K showcased their outstanding dedication, skill, and determination throughout the tournament. Their efforts bore fruit as an impressive 04 players clinched victories across various categories and events.
"The collective excellence of WAKO J&K kickboxing talents shone brightly as the state bagged a total of 02 gold, 02 silver, and 02 bronze medals. This remarkable achievement underscores the dedication and hard work of the athletes and serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes across the UT ," said Abhishek Jain , General Secretary of kickboxing association J&K .
Team was escorted by Team Coaches Wasim Shah and Sudarshan singh (senior Coach) congratulated the players for their future success.
Gold: Zeeshan nazir (light contact), waqas hafeez (light contact)
Silver: Zeeshan nazir (Point Fight), muneeb zahoor (light contact)
Bronze: Aabu sayan (light contact and point fight)
