DC Samba reviews progress under CAPEX Budget 2023-24

SAMBA, May 29: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma today chaired a review meeting to assess the physical and financial status of projects taken under the District Capex Plan 2023-24.
The meeting was held in meeting Hall of the DC Office, included Sectoral and District Officers to provide insights into various sectors such as RDD, PMGSY, R&B, Jal Shakti, Education, Health, and Youth Sports.
The DC scrutinized the funds released and expenditures incurred across different sectors, emphasizing the critical need for timely project completion and efficient fund utilization. He directed officers to expedite ongoing projects while strictly adherence to timelines and quality standards.
It was revealed during the meeting that out of the total 2221 works initiated under the District Capex, 2113 have been successfully completed, with the remaining projects currently in progress.
The DC underscored the significance of close monitoring and coordination among departments to overcome any bottlenecks and ensure seamless project progress. He directed DSEO for spot verification of a few projects in Vijaypur Sub division.
He urged officers to provide regular updates and promptly address any issues to prevent delays, emphasizing the importance of efficient implementation for the benefit of the district's residents.
The meeting witnessed the presence of key officials including the ADDC Samba, Champa Devi, Chief Planning Officer, Kasturi Lal, ACD, Mehmood Riaz, DSEO, Executive Engineers of KPDCL and Jal Sakhti, CMO, CEO, Executive Engineer PMGSY, DIO, Ashiq Rafiq, AEE R&B, and other stakeholders.
