| DDC inspects development works at Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, MARCH 12===In order to have on spot developmental review of the ongoing works in and around the Kishtwar town, the District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Mr G R Bhagat today visited the complexes of District Hospital and Kishtwar Development Authority. The works inspected include, the new indoor patient building, new operation theatre complex in the hospital premises and the Tourist Reception Centre near Chowgon grounds being executed by the Kishtwar Development Authority (KDA). During the hospital visits, the DDC went around the indoor wards and interacted with the admitted patients and also took stock of the facilities available to the patients at the hospital laboratories, x-ray, dental, section and the existing operation theatre. On the occasion, the DDC was informed by the hospital authorities that as many as 81519 out door patients including 516 senior citizens and 6020 indoor patients have been treated at the district hospital up to ending February 2009. In addition 1066 surgical operations were also performed including general, gynecological, orthopaedician, eye and ear during the period and 452 serous cases were referred to Jammu from hospital so far, the DDC was informed. Speaking on the occasion, the DDC asked the doctors and the other staff to provide the best available treatment to the ailing community with a missionary spirit. He also asked the KDA functionaries to construct a park in the hospital complex for the benefit of the patients. Among others Additional District Development Commissioner, Mr N A Sha, ADC Mr A R Natnoo, CEO, KDA, JKPCC functionaries were also present on the occasion.
