Adbi Kunj pays rich tributes to ‘Father of Dogri literate’

Jammu, Mar 12- A condolence meeting was organized by Adbi Kunj Jammu at his literacy centre, new Shastri Memorial school here today to mourn the sad demise of Father of Dogri literary movement and literature of the state Prof. Ram Nath Shastri who expired on Sunday after a brief illness. He was 95.
In the meeting the members of organization and many other prominent citizens, writers and poets paid glowing tributes to late Padam Shri Ram Nath Shasri. The meeting was presided over by Sham Talib president of the organization, Sushil Bagana, secretary of the organization conducted the proceeding of the meeting.
While paying tribute to the departed soul, Sham Talib said that Prof. Shastri was legendry personality and we should follow the foot steps of this great person who devoted his full life for the upliftment of Dogri language, culture and literature in particular and progress of the Duggar Pradesh in general. He also said that as Prof. Shastri had contributed a lot for the Adbi Kunj Jammu.
Nargis Sitara vice president of organization, while speaking on the occasion said that such great literary figures are the asset and source of aspiration for all and it’s great loss for people of especially multilingual culture of the state, especially Jammu.
Talib Kashmiri General Secretary of the organization , while paying tributes to Prof. Shastri described him an institution who fought for the progress, development and identity of the Dogri language and literature not only at State level on national scene also.
Sushil Begana secretary of the Organization said that Prof. Ram Nath Shastri fought for the recognition to the Dogri language and it is because of Prof. Shastri’s efforts the Dogri language had been introduced in the Indian constitution.
Com. Jaswant Singh Chief Organizer also paid their rich tributes to Prof. Shastri.
A two minutes silence was also observed.
Among others who attend the meet and paid their tributes included Rajeshwar, Avtar Krishan Ganjoo, Sehar Ganderbali, Munni Lal Puri, Prof. Ved Prakash Gupta (V.K.M) Maharaj Krishan, Smt. Zeenat Firdous, Ayodhya Rani, Ghamkhar, Babli Zutshi, Nirmal Bhardwaj, K.L. Dewana, Rakesh Tript, Dr. Ram pal Sharma, Chander Ved Prakash, Rakesh Kumar Sarkar, Rajeev Kumar , Raj Kumar Uttam, Tarseem Naveen, M.S. Kumar.
