Crime review meeting conducted by Shridhar Patil-IPS, DIG DKR range

JAMMU, June 1: DIG DKR Range Headquarters, Batote held a meeting with District SSsP of Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban and all supervisory officers to review the progress in disposal of under investigation cases, Inquest proceedings, etc. The DIG Range, in his review, stressed the need for special efforts to expedite on arrest of absconders, tracing missing persons and closure of backlog cases pending since long. He has asked to launch a special drive for the arrest of absconders and tracing out of missing persons.
For making possible conviction in under- investigation cases, DIG of Police directed the SSsP to ensure investigation of the cases professionally. He directed all supervisory officers to conduct regular crime meetings with the investigation officers to make flawless investigation to bring these cases to their timely and logical conclusion. He emphasized the supervisory officers to take joint stringent action against the OGWs and support network of militants. Officers present were directed to be in regular touch with the VDGs, PPs, SPPs for input generation and to avoid any untoward incident.
The DIG emphasised that pro-people and responsive policing shall be ensured by each one while dealing criminals with firm hand.
