SSP Kishtwar conducts security review/briefings session

KISHTWAR, June 1: In preparation for the forthcoming Yatras and festivities, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom-JKPS held comprehensive security briefings with key officials at the District Police Lines (DPL) Kishtwar today.
The briefing sessions included interactions with the In-Charge of the Special Operations Group (IC SOG) camp and the In-Charge of the Special Police Picket(IC SPP). These meetings focused on the meticulous planning and implementation of security measures to ensure a peaceful and orderly environment during these critical events.
During the briefings, SSP Kishtwar addressed several critical issues, including militancy, bovine smuggling, drug peddling, timber smuggling, and other criminal activities. The SSP emphasized the need for heightened vigilance and proactive measures to counter these threats effectively. Detailed strategies were discussed to handle potential challenges and ensure the safety and security of the citizens.
SSP Kishtwar highlighted the importance of inter-departmental coordination and intelligence sharing. In recognition of exemplary performance, the SSP rewarded several officials who played pivotal roles in providing timely and actionable information that led to significant breakthroughs in ongoing investigations and operations.
Furthermore, the SSP Kishtwar issued necessary directions to all officials to maintain high levels of alertness and ensure thorough communication and cooperation. He also warned that any officials who fail to share vital information or neglect their duties will face strict actions as per the law.
The briefing session was attended by the Dy. SP Hqrs Kishtwar Dr. Ishan Gupta, Dy. SP PC Vishal Sharma, IC SOG Insp Dil Raj Singh and other officers.
