6/5/2024 10:33:56 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 5: Expressing gratitude to the voters of Jammu region for their large support in both seats thus drastically reducing the margin of victory of BJP candidates, JKPCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani said that Congress cadres are encouraged by the party performance both at the national level and in the UT, where the party would fight the assembly elections with full force.
Addressing a press conference here today flanked by Working President and party candidate from Jammu Shri Raman Bhalla and Senior Vice President-Chief spokesperson Mr. Ravinder Sharma and other senior leaders, JKPCC Chief thanked the voters for their whole hearted support to Congress and India alliance and said that election results have encouraged our cadres and boosted their morale to face the Assembly elections with full might, as our vote bank per assembly has seen a large step up, giving tough to BJP in its bastion since 2014.
Vikar Rasool said that vote bank of BJP has drastically come down as compared to steep rise of congress vote bank, as people gave 10 lac votes in Jammu to Congress. Congress gained a lot in almost all assembly constituencies in Jammu region including lead in some constituencies indicating that people are ready for change in Assembly elections. He said that congress will emerge out stronger and will be largest party in Jammu region for the formation of next Govt with like minded parties.
PCC General Secretaries Narinder Gupta(Org), Shashi Sharma, T.S. Tony DDC, President DCC Jammu Urban Th. Manmohan Singh were also present in the press conference.
Wani congratulated the central leadership and said that P.M. Modi and BJP has lost simple majority on their own which is moral defeat of PM Modi who had given the slogan of 400 paar and 370 paar for BJP but could not retain its earlier score of 303 seats. People of Ayudhia have given a strong message to the entire nation and BJP has lost ground in U.P. Rahul Gandhi has won both seats with huge margin and an ordinary leader of party has won Amethi. He said Rahul Gandhi has emerged as a strong leader, who is honest and undeterred, as Modi Govt and BJP spent lot of money and energy to tarnish his image for ten years. Congress is comitted to service of all sections and people of all religions to fulfill all commitments to the youth, women, poor and common man of this country. He said that restoration of statehood is our priority followed by early Assembly elections to restore democracy in Jammu and Kashmir at the earliest. He asserted that Congress would be able to form next Govt in J&K with like minded parties.
Raman Bhalla thanked the people for large scale vote to him and said that he will continue to work for the common people, inspite of final result not his favour. He said people have given a lot of support and respect to him in Jammu for which he and his party is indebted to the people. He will solidly stand for the issues of common people being faced by them under BJP regime.
