Early Times Report

DODA, June 8: In continuation to the Environmental Week celebrations that began on June 5, Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Gandoh organized a program focusing on the topic “Management of Waste.” The event saw enthusiastic participation from both staff members and students, who engaged deeply with the theme.
Speakers, including students and teachers, shed light on various aspects of waste management. They expressed deep concern about the deteriorating environment, emphasizing that one significant factor is the growing menace of waste products being dumped in open spaces. The issue of liquid waste was also highlighted, stressing the need for proper disposal and management to protect the environment.
The speakers urged participants to become messengers and ambassadors of the mission “Manage Waste – Domestic and Otherwise – and Protect the Delicate Environment.” They called for collective efforts to address the waste management crisis and promote sustainable practices within the community.
The event underscored the importance of environmental awareness and the role of education in fostering a sense of responsibility among young people. By focusing on practical steps to manage waste, the program aimed to inspire students and staff to take active roles in environmental conservation efforts.
