Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 8: Dogra Law College, renowned for its commitment to providing quality legal education and nurturing future legal professionals, organized a heartfelt farewell ceremony to bid adieu to its graduating students of the Batch 2019-2024. The event, filled with emotion and nostalgia, was a fitting tribute to the hard work and dedication of the departing students.
The ceremony commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of new beginnings. Ms. Prachi Sharma, a student of BA LLB 8th semester, delivered the welcome address, extending warm greetings to all attendees and setting the tone for the evening.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister of Education, J&K State, and Chairman of the Dogra Educational Trust, graced the event with his presence. In his presidential remarks, he shared insightful and encouraging words that deeply resonated with the students, inspiring them as they embark on their new journey beyond the college walls.
The evening was not just about formal speeches; it also featured a vibrant array of cultural performances, including captivating dances and melodious songs. These performances added an extra layer of joy and celebration to the farewell, creating cherished memories for everyone present.
In recognition of the contributions and achievements of the students, titles were conferred upon them, marking their individual strengths and qualities. These titles served as reminders of the indelible mark they have left on the college community and as a testament to their future endeavors.
Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary of the Dogra Educational Trust, also congratulated the students on this significant occasion. He emphasized that today is not just a culmination of years of hard work and dedication; it's also a moment of reflection and anticipation. He encouraged the students to carry with them the lessons learned both inside and outside the classroom as they stand on the threshold of a new chapter in their lives.
Shuchi Sharma, Academic Coordinator of Dogra Law College, urged the students to embrace every experience that comes their way with an open mind and a willingness to learn. She reminded them that success is not merely defined by the accolades they receive or the positions they attain but by the impact they make on the lives of others and the communities they serve. She assured the graduates that the Dogra Educational Trust stands behind them, rooting for their success every step of the way.
The farewell ceremony at Dogra Law College was not just a goodbye; it was a celebration of accomplishments, friendships, and the beginning of a new chapter. As the graduating students bid farewell to their alma mater, they carry with them the lessons learned, memories cherished, and the bonds forged during their time at the college.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Ms. Janvi Parihar, one of the university toppers, bringing the emotional and joyous evening to a close.
