JAMMU, June 11: In anticipation of the Eid-Ul-Azha, the Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya led a comprehensive meeting to review arrangements for a seamless and joyous celebration.
The meeting attended by district officers and representatives from line departments, focused on key aspects crucial for successful festivities.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation was directed to intensify efforts to maintain sanitary conditions and cleanliness throughout the city, vital for maintaining public health standards during crowded gatherings.
Market and quality inspections of essential commodities were assigned to the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department and Sheep Husbandry Department, ensuring that residents have access to high-quality goods during Eid.
Additionally, essential services such as drinking water and power supply were emphasised to ensure uninterrupted provision during the celebrations.
The Motor Vehicle Department was entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining vigilance over vehicles and traffic flow to guarantee safe and efficient transportation during the festivities.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the importance of building upon past practices to enhance the overall experience of Eid celebrations, encouraging collaboration and coordination among all stakeholders involved.
