JAMMU, June 11: Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) held a placement drive for Flipkart under Shining Stars for the students of YCET.

Flipkart is an Indian e-commerce company headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It was founded in October 2007 by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal, both alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Initially, Flipkart started as an online bookstore, but it has since expanded its product offerings to include electronics, fashion, home essentials, groceries, and various other categories.
For Shining Stars IT Private Limited a total of 20 students were shortlisted for the first round. At the end of the rigorous selection process, which included a group discussion, typing test, technical interview, and more, two students were selected:
Sheeran Adil and Ishfaq Ahmad Wani
The program was conducted by the Placement Cell of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu. The officials from the company and Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology were involved to properly drive the placement process. Dev Chinmey- Vice President and Puneet Kumar- Senior Manager hailed the efforts put by the college in nurturing and exploring the young minds for a better tomorrow.
Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology is leading the effort to give the students a chance to have a firsthand experience of placement drives. Our career counseling programs which are also a part of our College's Social Responsibility lay special emphasis on empowering these students by imparting industry-ready skills, which enables them to get good placements. The students at YCET put in a lot of preparation towards the placement drive. The college also arranged many lectures for students on resume making, personality enhancement, and on various latest topics.
The program was organized by Er. Dinesh Gupta, Head Training and Placement Officer and was well coordinated by Er. Rajnish Magotra, (HoD, Civil Engineering Department), Er. Loveneesh Talwar (HoD, Electrical Department, YCET), Er. Anupreet (Hod, CSE Departmnet) Er. Inderdeep Singh (HoD, Mechanical Department, YCET), along with the placement coordinators Er.Shivam Sharma, Er. Manjula Sharma, Er. Vasundra and Er. Karan.
